Deputy Minister Bakija-Deva presented the work of MCYS in the panel discussing culture

Deputy Burbuqe Bakija-Deva participated in the event organized by Kosovo 2.0, where was discussed about the culture and organization of this field in the Republic of Kosovo.

The Deputy Minister was part of the Discussion Panel on "Culture: Independent or Moneyless?" where, together with civil society activists, artists and creators discussed issues and problems encountered in cultural life in Kosovo and are considered important since not discussed so often.

Bakija-Deva in her discussion talked about the achievements of MCYS by supporting the cultural and creative sector, highlighting the agreement reached between the Republic of Kosovo and the European Union for Creative Europe as well as the functionalization of the Kosovo Creative Europe - of MCYS.

Also, the deputy minister mentioned Kosvo's participation in the 16th edition of the Venice Biennale of Architecture in 2018 with the topic "Free Space", then the participation of Kosovo in the joint pavilion with Albania at the 71st edition of the Film Festival in Cannes.

Support of the International Film Festival "DOKUFEST", presence of the Kosovo Cinema Film Center in the European Film Market, CCC's participation at the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival, with the film "Gardhi" by Lendita Zeqiraj has triumphed in this festival as the best short film and has won the right to the contest for OSCARS, are the other successes that counted the deputy minister, highlighting the support of cultural projects through the annual calls made by the MCYS within the framework of public invitation to support projects/programs for the promotion of culture in the field of cinema, theater, music, visual arts, creative industry, cultural diversity dialogue, cultural diplomacy, literary activities, librarianship.

In this open meeting, the achievements, problems, thoughts and ideas for the future were exchanged.
