16.07.2022

Last night, the book "Distorted Shadows: A memory book with the confessions of former political prisoners in Goli Otok prison" was promoted.

The stories presented in this book are accounts of suffering and torture, but also of resistance and solidarity among political activists from Kosovo who spent days and nights in the isolation rooms of the Goli Otoku camp, but also in other prisons.

This event became even more special due to the fact that it was promoted in the Prison Museum of Pristina, which will be the center of documentation for all the political resistance of the Albanian people over the decades and such research will be an important part of the work of this institution.

The opening was made by the Minister of Culture, Hajrulla Çeku, to then continue the debate "The past before the past" with panelists Shkëlzen Gashi, Mrika Limani Myrtaj and Aurela Kadriu, with moderator Eraldin Fazliu.

The book is published by Integra and supported by the Ministry of Culture.
