Deputy-minister Hoti met with deputies of Albanian Parliament

Deputy-minister of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), today, welcomed in a meeting the deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, headed by Genc Pollo, Chair of the Committee for Education and Public Information Means. In this meeting, it was discussed about the advancement of cooperation between Kosovo and Albania in different fields, highlighting education, culture and science.

Deputy-minister Hoti, on behalf of Minister Shala, welcomed the guests from Albania and thanked them for the visit in MCYS. He emphasised that both countries have a good cooperation in many fields, especially, those covered by MCYS. Mr. Hoti stated that the cooperation should be directed towards the concrete and closer unification in common programs in the field of culture as well as sports activities between the athletes of both countries.

In his turn, Genc Pollo, Chair of the Committee for Education and Public Information Means, said that communication between the corresponding institutions of both countries is in the right way, but this cooperation should be advanced further. He mentioned the fact that the recent agreements that were signed between the governments are a great step towards this advancement, but, the cooperation shall be extended also in the field of legislation, where different parliament commissions shall exchange their experiences.

In this meeting, Jonuz Musliu was also present, President of the Albanian National Committee of Presheva Valley, who estimated the cooperation between Kosovo and Albania as a hope and rise of support also for the Albanians of the Valley region. He said that it is necessary that a mutual meeting between leaders and deputies be organised in the Valley, in order to raise the support and rights of Albanian. He also said that in the field of culture different cultural projects may be accomplished, whereby, according to Mr. Musliu, there is space and opportunity to contribute in the Valley on this direction.
