Minister Shala met with the heads of KMGF

Today, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Kujtim Shala, welcomed in a meeting the heads of Kosovo Mini-Golf Federation (KMGF), led by president of this federation Lavdim Zylfiu. In the meeting, they discussed about the organisation of Mini-Golf International Championship and about the progress and achievements of this sport in Kosovo.

President of KMGF, Lavdim Zylfiu, informed the minister that next year Mini-Golf International Championship is expected to be organised in Kosovo, in which over 15 competitive representatives shall participate from different countries of the world. Mr. Zylfiu asked for the support of MCYS and other sports institutions to enable the organisation of this championship. According to him, such an event would influence the further expansion and promotion of this sport in our country as well as the international promotion of our country.

Vis-à-vis, Mr. Zylfiu informed minister Shala for the history of this sport in Kosovo and the organisation of the work of federation directed by him. Furthermore, he also talked about activities and competitions organised by the federation. KMGF, he said, is one of the first federations to be internationally accepted also in competitions outside the country that represented Kosovo, and they have had tremendous successes.

Minister Shala emphasised that the organisation of a world championship of this sport is of a significant importance and this event may be considered also as another proof that our country is able to organise great sport events. Moreover, this would turn our country into an important address of this sport and would serve as an example for the countries of the region.
