Deputy Prime Minister Shala visited Peja, Klina and Istog

Deputy Prime Minister Kujtim Shala, at the same time, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, visited today the municipalities of Peja, Klina and Istog and met the Mayors, Gazmend Muhaxheri, Sokol Bashota, and Haki Rugova, with whom he discussed about the projects expected to be developed and finalized during this year.

Deputy Prime Minister Shala, during his meeting in Peja, informed the Mayor Muhaxheri about the investment in this municipality, in projects in the fields of culture, youth and sports. He emphasized that the budget has been doubled for sports halls and increased the budget for the subsidies.

Whereas the Mayor of Peja, Gazmend Muhaxheri thanked the Deputy Prime Minister Shala for the visit and congratulated him for taking up the duty. He expressed that he expects to have a fruitful cooperation and accomplishment of projects in order to meet the objectives foreseen by the municipality.

Whereas in the visit he paid to Klina municipality, Shala informed the Mayor,Sokol Bashota about the projects and investments which have been foreseen for Klina. He emphasized that it is aimed at finalizing the sports hall of the town. Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that he is going to have cooperation and will support cultural projects and activities of this municipality.

The Mayor, Sokol Bashota congratulated the minister and also informed minister Shala about the cultural activities and projects the municipality is undertaking and hence thanked the minister for the support and for the cooperation.

As part of today's visits, minister Shala also stayed in Istog, where he met the Mayor of this municipality, Haki Rugova, and they discussed about the support to projects and investments into infrastructure in this municipality.

Minister Shala informed the Mayor Rugova about doubling of the budget for the sports hall which is being constructed in Istog, where he said that for this year, the amount of about 400 thousand Euros have been allocated. Likewise, Shala, informed Rugova about the changes in legal infrastructure, and as part of these changes, the strategies were included about fields covered by MCYS. He emphasized that following the budget review, the support for sports and culture in Istog will further increase.

The Mayor of Istog thanked the minister for the visit and also congratulated him for taking up the duty. He emphasized that the cooperation and support by MCYS is necessary for the municipality and expects it to be increased in the future.
