Modern Sports Hall in Drenas too

Youth, and in particular athletes of Drenas municipality from now on will have modern conditions for development of competitions in many sports. Today the official opening of Sports Hall took place where investment reached over 1 million Euro from MCYS.

In the official opening ceremony, present was also the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Memli Krasniqi, Mayor of Drenas, Nexhat Demaku, Head of Kosovo Handball Federation, Eugen Saraçini, and athletes and citizens from Drenasi.

On this occasion, the match for Super League of handball took place between Drenica and Vëllaznimi, thus being the first official match in this sports hall.

Minister Krasniqi said that the sports hall in Drenas is going to be one of the most important areas for athletes and youngsters. He further mentioned that gradually every municipality in Kosovo is completing the necessary infrastructure for sports competitions. This, he said has been a vision of MCYS.

“We have invested in many dimensions in Drenas, in school sports polygons, renovation of football stadium, now we completed this sports hall, and very soon the auxiliary football stadium will be finished, built in compliance with the highest international standards. I wish you have many competitions here, as much sport as possible, to give Kosovo athletes who can represent us in the future in international competitions. This sports hall and any other sports infrastructure is very important for you and I invite you to take care of them in the best way possible”, Minister Krasniqi said.

Whereas the Mayor of Drenas, Nexhat Demaku thanked MCYS for many investments that they made in the municipality of Drenas. He said that these are very important for youth. Demaku promised that the municipality is going to increase the support for sports, as one of the most important segments for development of the society in general.

Whereas the head of KHF, Eugen Saraçini highly esteemed the engagement of MCYS for improvement of sports infrastructure, for what he said that is helping a lot in development of sports.
