Shala: We are working to improve sport’s infrastructure

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, had a meeting with the Secretary of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Eroll Salihu, with whom he discussed about the infrastructure in stadiums of Kosovo, on the work of licensing football clubs, a process which is extremely important especially following Kosovo's accession to UEFA and FIFA, and also the need to improve our stadiums infrastructure before international competitions start.

Minister Shala and KFF secretary Eroll Saliu also discussed about the process of the new standards that have been established for football in Kosovo, after joining the two international organizations and said a close cooperation between institutions, KFF and the clubs is required, in view of consolidating our football and a better presentation in the international arena.

Minister Shala said that Kosovo institutions are working intensively to fulfill all criteria set by UEFA and FIFA in the field of infrastructure. He further said that the procedures regarding the stadium in Prishtina have been completed and the contract for the renovation of the stadium is expected to be signed soon, which in the future will meet international standards for football matches.

Also, Minister Shala said that they are working in the Olympic Stadium "Adem Jashari" in Mitrovica in order to be ready for the future competitions.
