Kosovo and Albania together for the organisation of the reburial ceremony of the remains of Isa Boletini

Today, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Memli Krasniqi welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Prishtina, Qemajl Minxhozi, they discussed about the cooperation between the two countries during this year, and also for the plans in future.

In this meeting, they emphasised the cooperation and coordination about the reburial ceremony of the remains of national hero Isa Boletini, which were verified a few days ago by the forensic expert Arsim Gërxhaliu, Director of the Forensic Department within the Ministry of Justice.

Minister Krasniqi said that the preparation or the ceremony have already started by now. The date of the ceremony is determined to be November the 28th 2014.

“The image of Boletini is nationwide. Therefore, an ceremony organised by the both countries would be an honour to his image and work for freedom and independence”, said minister Krasniqi, while, he added that the Government of the Republic of Albania shall lead the ceremony.

In his turn Ambassador Qemajl Minxhozi expressed the intense readiness of the institutions of the Republic of Albania to be co-organisers of this ceremony.

“I am happy to have the opportunity as a general to make an honour to the image and work of Isa Boletini” he stated.

In this meeting it was discussed also for the cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture, heritage and sports.

Minister Krasniqi estimated this year of great successes in the scope of cultural cooperation between two countries, emphasising the approval and implementation of cultural calendar. The Minister said that the consultation among the two ministries have already started for the activity agenda of the next year within the scope of cultural calendar.

The Ambassador highly estimated the developments in this aspect, and also congratulated the Minister for his commitment in the internationalisation of sport. Mr Minxhozi notified Minister Krasniqi also for the different activities that the Embassy of Albania in Prishtina shall organise during this year.
