A new chapter for handball in Kosovo

A new chapter is opening for handball in Kosovo. This was said today by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Memli Krasniqi, in a meeting with Head of Kosovo Handball Federation, Eugen Saracini. World Handball Federation Council (IHF) approved the request of KHF for full provisional membership in IHF.

Minister Krasniqi said that this is an indication that Kosovo sport is definitely opening the doors of isolation and now that time is coming for equal presentation. In this meeting special emphasis was given to the discussion for preparations of the representative of Kosovo Handball on word qualification in 2015.

Minister Krasniqi stated ‘We are going to be supporters of handball just as we have always been and not only for handball. Moreover, our support shall intensify even more since we shall also have one more representative who is going to represent us in important international competitions”, while he was felicitating Head Saracini for the great effort he is doing on spreading and enhancing the quality of handball.

Head of KHF, Eugen Saracini, notified the Minister for the work they did up to now and the preparations for the final process of membership at IHF, as well as participation in international competitions. He thanked Minister Krasniqi for his support, appreciating it as rather significant for the achievements marked by Kosovo Handball.
