Minister Krasniqi met the new director of the Library, Bedri Zyberaj

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Memli Krasniqi hosted today in a recognition meeting the director of National Library of Kosovo “Pjetër Bogdani”, Bedri Zyberaj, with whom he discussed about the organisation and the progress of works within NLK.

Congratulating for the duty, Minister Krasniqi offered his full support to the director Zyberaj in order for NLK to have efficient management, and through its work to sensitize readers and to raise the love for the book. He congratulated the management for the up to date work carried out in NLK.

“MCYS guarantees that it will always support the management of National Library ‘Pjetër Bogdani’, by facilitating processes and creating better conditions for work”, the minister said.

Minister also expressed that the process of further development of NLK must be with the world trends and it must come as close as possible to the reader and the public.

Whereas the director of NLK, Bedri Zyberaj, thanked the minister for the continuous support provided to the library. He informed the minister for the work that has been done till now in the NLK and about the plans that he has for the future to bring the library and the book as close as possible to the reader.

Zyberaj also said that he will enhance and increase the cooperation with other library institutions.

MCYS in its program lists the support for book publication, purchase and distribution into municipal libraries.

National Library of Kosovo “Pjetër Bogdani” separated last year from the University Library upon signing of the memorandum which based on the Law on Libraries is an institution of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
