The memory of Bekim Fehmiu will be imperishable

Today marks ten years since the death of Bekim Fehmiu, the world-famous Albanian actor, who left his mark on world and Albanian cinema. Bekim with his unparalleled acting talent managed to penetrate the international film scene.

The number of roles in which he has played is huge. In each role that Bekim was engaged, gave added value to each film and the dedication and commitment with spirit in each role he performed, made Bekim famous, with whom we grew, rejoiced, been excited and have been and will always be proud.

His film performances in "Feather Collectors", "Odissea", "Adventurer" and many, many other projects that are masterpieces of cinematography will remain unforgettable.

I, as minister and the institution I lead, commemorate and honor the figure of Bekim Fehmiu and we feel miserable that due to the circumstances of COVID-19 pandemic, we cannot mark his death anniversary as Bekim Fehmiu deserves, with his legacy left behind. The award ceremony, which is defined by the regulation, will take place in a different form in the coming days.

We remember him with piety and we will never forget Bekim Fehmiu, such an exceptional artist that peoples of the world would dream of having.

Imperishable will be his name and we will always remember, appreciate and honor the figure and name of the great Bekim Fehmiu.
