Minister Gashi in Kamenica: The stadium will be completed this year

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, visited today the Municipality of Kamenica, where he held a meeting with the mayor of this municipality, Qendron Kastrati.

Among the topics discussed at the meeting were the cooperation between MCYS and the municipality and the realiza-tion of concrete projects for the benefit of the citizens of Kamenica, which are in the domain of MCYS, such as culture, youth, sport and heritage. Another reason for the visit was the signing of the City Sta-dium Memorandum worth 100 thousand Euros. After the signing ceremony of the memorandum, Minister Gashi and Mayor Kastrati visited the Qemali Stadium to look closely at the works.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, for the visit to Kamenica, among others, said that MCYS will support the projects of this municipality.

"It is a great pleasure to give the message to the citizens of Kamenica for our dedication as a minister to carry out capital pro-jects. A project that started 14 years ago, that of the Kamenica sports hall will be completed this year. During this year we will intervene and finish this project. MCYS has allocated 100,000 Euros for this year and with this we will conclude the final phase of this project. Through the Regional Cultural Heritage Center of Gjilan we will intervene in the complex of Rexhep Mala. As a minister we have allocated 50,000 Euros for this project. We also pledged to restore two mosques that are part of the two cultural assets that Kamenica municipality has", said Minister Gashi.

While the first of the municipal-ity of Kamenica, Qëndron Kastrati thanked the Minister for the continued dedication to the culture sector for the citizens of Kamenica.

He also had a special request for the minister that with-in the House of Culture be allocated a part for the Youth Center.

"We had a meeting dis-cussing projects that are being implemented in our municipality by MCYS. There are projects that have not been completed event after 14 years. Thank you for your willingness and commitment in consider-ing our municipality needs”.
