Employees of culture with special status

With the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, decided that, the categories of creators, performers, scientific employees in institutions of culture and professional employees in cultural institutions, with a separate article under the Law on Salaries, be treated as separate categories.

The Article proposed by the Minister Shala and approved by the Government stipulates that: "The issue of categorization and wage categories: creator, performer, scientific employees in cultural institutions and professional employees in cultural institutions will be regulated by a special normative act of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo ".

This paves the way that these categories be treated specifically, knowing the peculiarities of each.

Through this, the Government met the request of the institutions of culture and employees of culture in public institutions for regulating the status of culture employees according to better standards.

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport will work closely with the Government that this matter be addressed as soon as possible.
