MCYS established awards for cultural heritage

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, in compliance with Regulation 02/2011 on the areas of administrative responsibility of the Prime Minister's Office and Ministries, as well as Article 38, paragraph 6, of the Rules of Procedure of the Government, issues the regulation on Granting the Award for Life Activity in the Field of Cultural Heritage "Dea Dardanicae" annual Award for Special Merit "Shtjefën Gjeçovi" annual Award for Scientific Work "Zef Mirdita" and the annual Award for Institutional Management "Muhammad Shukriu".

These awards are established by Regulation 09/2016, which establishes the criteria and procedures for granting the abovementioned awards.

These awards are given to outstanding figures for the protection, preservation and promotion of cultural heritage.

The regulation specifies the procedures of competition for awards in specific areas, and the way of granting awards, which is done through the professional jury created by the ministry.

Financial value of awards is as follows:

Award for Life Activity in the Field of Cultural Heritage "Dea Dardanicae" shall be rewarded with 5 thousand Euros.

Annual Award for Special Merit "Shtjefën Gjeçovi" shall be rewarded with 2 thousand and 500 Euros.

Annual Prize for Scientific Work "Zef Mirdita" shall be rewarded with 2 thousand and 500 Euros.

The annual award for Institutional Management "Muhammad Shukriu" shall be rewarded with 2 thousand Euros.

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, through these awards, aims to support prominent figures that have contributed to the preservation, study and promotion of the cultural heritage in Kosovo.
