Ministry signs a memorandum with NCO for the Historic Center of Prizren

Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) has signed a memorandum of cooperation on drafting of the Management Plan of the Historic Centre of Prizren with the Network of Cultural Organizations in Prizren, through which it is foreseen that MCYS gives support in the amount of 50 thousand Euros, aiming to realize this project.

Management Plan of the Historic Centre of Prizren is a necessity arising from the Law on the Historic Centre and it is a document that defines the organization and management of the historic center, after a process that provides a range of activities from analysis of the situation and various research, to workshops, public consultation and other instruments that encourage the participation of various interest groups and citizens in the planning of this area.

The plan aims to provide a detailed analysis of the current situation, which includes the review and consolidation of relevant existing plans and existing knowledge on the Historic Centre, measuring of the socio-economic and demographic situation, analysis of the legal framework, scanning physical condition, as well as researching other aspects of importance towards developing the management unit of the area and drafting of the action plan that includes components such as conservation, visual communication, economic and tourist plans, educational programs and other strategic aspects that will be identified during the process.
