MCYS invests 300 thousand euros to renovate the stadium in Ferizaj

As part of capital investments to improve sports’ infrastructure, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, singed today a memorandum of cooperation with the municipality of Ferizaj to financially support the “Renovation of Football Stadium in Ferizaj,” a project in the value of 400 thousand euros.

Based on the signed memorandum, the MCYS invests 300 thousand euro for years 2016 and 2017, while the municipality of Ferizaj pledges to invest 100 thousand euro for this two-year period.

Minister Kujtim Shala said that the memorandum signed today between the MCYS and Municipality of Ferizaj proves the commitment of the ministry to invest in sports in all municipalities of Kosovo, especially in the improvement of infrastructure, which will enable sportsmen to have standardized spaces for training and competing. Such investments will directly impact the improvement of the quality of sports in Kosovo.

Mayor of Ferizaj, Muharrem Svarqa, thanked Minister Shala for the close cooperation and the support he is giving for investing in sports. He said that this investment in the stadium is important for footballers of Ferizaj because it will enable sportsmen to compete and further improve in better conditions in a completely renovated space.
