Deputy Minister Hoti is staying in the UK

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti is on an official visit to Great Britain where he is having important meetings with representatives of culture from the UK as well as representatives of Albanian cultural associations in London.

Deputy Minister met with Stephen Nash, head of the association "Anglo Albanian Association" in London which for more than 100 years has been a promoter and supporter of Albanians.

The meeting discussed the concretization of cooperation in various cultural fields, such as in film, heritage and art in general.

Nash has expressed his readiness for cooperation particularly in the field of cinematography where he has presented a series of proposals for concrete projects.

He expressed interest in joint projects in the field of cultural heritage, stressing that Kosovo will be a priority for cultural projects of the association.

Meanwhile, Deputy Hoti expressed his gratitude for the great contribution that the organization has provided for more than a decade for the rights of Albanians worldwide and for the promotion of the Albanian culture.

Hoti said that MCYS is willing to as soon as possible start cooperation with the association by organizing joint seminars through projects especially in the field of heritage and the promotion of Albanian culture in general.

Both agreed that in the coming months, proposals for collaborative projects begin as quickly as possible through concretization of initial steps.

Hoti met with Mirjeta Palaj, official representative of the association "Edith Durham" in London with whom he discussed the main activities that the association carries out.

Palaj informed the Deputy Minister that the main activities of the association include arrangements for learning Albanian language to Albanian children, support of various communities and initiatives primarily related to education.

Hoti congratulated Palaj for the work the organization is doing especially for Albanian children. He expressed the readiness of MCYS to cooperate with the association through specific projects.
