MCYS is committed to basic salaries for art creators and performers

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, welcomed today the Director of the National Theatre, Agim Sopi, director of the National Ballet, Ahmet Brahimaj, and heads of the Union of Workers of the National Theatre.

At this meeting, they discussed about the status of actors and technical-artistic staff of the National Theatre and the National Ballet.

Minister Shala promised cooperation and commitment of MCYS to basic salaries for art creators and performers, as this creates better conditions for more efficient work on this extremely important category of Kosovo’s culture.

Also, at the meeting they discussed the steps to be taken by joint teams of MCYS, the National Theatre, Ballet and the Union, in order to find the most efficient modalities to settle this issue quickly.
