Minister Shala: Sigal Prishtina reasserts the quality of basketball in Kosovo

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, has congratulated the basketball team of Sigal Prishtina for the success achieved by being declared for the second time in a row, the champions of the Balkan League in basketball (BIBL).

Sigal Prishtina’s triumph marks a new record in BIBL league, as twice in a row they managed to be crowned champions in two consecutive years. This victory is also a reassertion for quality and the tradition of basketball in Kosovo, and represents a historic step of basketball and sports in Kosovo, said Minister Shala.

Minister Shala has enthusiastically followed and welcomed the success achieved by Sigal Prishtina, which has promoted even more Kosovo's sports in the international arena.

Minister Shala together with the staff of the MCYS are intensively working and supporting sports in general on creating conditions and general infrastructure for the advancement and promotion of sports in Kosovo, focusing on popularizing sport and working with new generations as the Kosovo competitors participation becomes more competitive.
