MCYS – support to Albanians in Croatia

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, accompanied by Deputy Minister Rexhep Hoti, welcomed today a delegation of Albanians in Croatia, headed by Ermina Lekaj-Përlasku, member of Parliament of Croatia, Esad Çollaku, president of the Union of Albanians in Croatia, Tom Kaçinari, president of Veterans of Croatia, and Ardian Kozniku, Croatian national team football player at the World Cup championship in France.

Between minister Kujtim Shala and Albanian delegation of Croatia were discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, especially for the need to intensify mutual cooperation between the diaspora of Croatia and Kosovo institutions, especially in areas related to cultural policies, the youth and sports.

Representatives of the Albanian delegation from Croatia, informed Minister Shala about the situation of Albanians in Croatia, their organization in the field of politics and culture. They expressed the need to have the support of the Kosovo institutions, especially in their efforts to preserve and cultivate the culture and Albanian tradition.

Minister Kujtim Shala thanked the delegation for the visit and said that Kosovo will support Albanians in Croatia, through concrete forms, in important fields, especially those related to culture and Albanian book. He further said that Kosovo is grateful to the Croatian diaspora for its important and continued contribution given to Kosovo.
