About 1.5 million Euros has been invested in Vitia

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, visited the Municipality of Vitia, where he met with the mayor of this municipality, Sokol Haliti, whith whom he inaugurated the completion of works at the Youth Centre of Vitia, and signed a memorandum of cooperation for the renovation of the Museum of the First Albanian School in Stubëll, Vitia.

Shala and Haliti discussed cooperation between central and local government, in view of improving the life of citizens, especially in joint projects related to culture, politics, sports and youth.

Minister Shala and the Mayor Haliti said that the cooperation with the municipality of Vitia is concrete and in view of the dynamism of cultural life, the improvement of sports infrastructure and promotion of youth activities.

We are investing in many parts of Kosovo, in order to create appropriate and contemporary conditions for cultural activities, sports and those associated with youth, said Shala.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of Vitia, Haliti thanked Minister Shala for the cooperation and concrete projects, which are in the benefit of Vitia’s infrastructure.

On this occasion, the Memorandum of Cooperation between the MCYS and the Municipality of Viti has been signed, through which MCYS invests 25 thousand Euros for the renovation of the Museum of the first Albanian school in Stubëll ,Vitia, while the municipality of Vitia, 3 thousand Euros.

Shala on this occasion said that this museum is itself the history of Kosovo and our identity, a cultural value of Vitia and Kosovo therefore it will have the state’s care, so that this heritage will be transmitted from generation to generation.

The Mayor Haliti said that with the investments made in Vitia is maintaned and cultivated a great wealth of Vitia and Kosovo.

Also, Minister Shala and President Haliti made the inauguration of works at the Youth Centre in the city, in which MCYS has invested 20 thousand Euros.

Minister Shala also said that procedures for the construction of the Sports Hall in the city are expected to be finalized in the coming days. This project will be worth around 1 million Euros.

Also, a memorandum of cooperation for the renovation of the House of Culture in Vitia will be signed soon, a project in which MCYS will invest about 300 thousand Euros.
