Minister Shala visited Ferizaj

In the wake of visits to Kosovo municipalities which aim the inspection of MCYS investments, and also with the aim of analyzing more closely the policy priorities in the field of culture, sports and youth, today Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala, stayed on an official visit in the city of Ferizaj, where he was welcomed by the Mayor Muharrem Sfarqa.

Minister Shala and the mayor Sfarqa discussed the cooperation between MCYS and the municipality, especially in areas related to cultural institutions, sports fields and youth policies.

Sfarqa President praised the fruitful cooperation with MCYS and thanked Minister Shala for the visit and ongoing support that he is giving to the municipality of Ferizaj.

Mayor Sfarqa informed Minister Shala about the priorities of the municipality in the field of culture, youth and sports for the coming years.

Minister Shala and the mayor Sfarqa assessed these meetings as extremely important to get to know more closely with the problems which are related to the institutions of culture, sports and youth policies, areas which require cooperation and collaboration between MCYS and the Municipality.

After visiting the municipality, Minister Shala accompanied by mayor Sfarqa also visited the town library, where he got informed of the development of the library sector in this city.

Minister Shala promised support for the book and libraries. He said that MCYS will help to improve the infrastructure of the libraries in Kosovo, and their continuous enrichment with new books so that readers have the opportunity and the best possible conditions for reading.

Also, in the framework of this visit in Ferizaj, Minister Shala visited the works being done in the city stadium, in which the investor is the European Commission, and said that MCYS will work closely with the municipality of Ferizaj, in order to speed the completion of the sport infrastructure of this city.

While inspecting the works in this stadium, Minister Shala added that they are cooperating with the municipality of Ferizaj, and together are finishing up some important projects that will be implemented for the citizens of Ferizaj in the coming years.
