World known architect, Ron Arad, Special Advisor to Kosovo Pavilion in Venice Biennale

Ron Arad, one of the most famous world architects, is going to be Special Advisor of the Pavilion of Kosovo in Architecture Exhibition in Venice Biennale which is going to take place this year. The decision for his appointment was made by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Memli Krasniqi.

Special advisor, based on the decision shall advise the Curator of the Pavilion at every stage.

Arad is a British architect born in Israel. His architecture office is located in London. He has been estimated as unique for his work, which is mainly based on metals. Except the architecture, Ron Arad is one of the outstanding figures in the field of industrial design.

Several days ago, Minister Krasniqi made the decision to appoint the Advisory Board and the Commissioners of the Pavilion of Kosovo for Venice Biennale.

The Commissioner of the Republic of Kosovo for the Exhibition of Architecture in Venice Biennale 2014 was appointed by Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The Advisory Board is appointed as an advising body, consisting of the following:
- Ilir Gjinolli
- Ilir Murseli
- Gjejlane Hoxha
- Florina Jerliu
- Përparim Rama


The Advisory Board, according to the decision shall propose to the Commissioner 3 to 5 proposals for potential curators.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner after receiving the proposals from the Board, shall appoint the Curator.

Expenses for the exhibition shall be covered by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, including coordination of potential donations.

This is the third time that Kosovo participates in Venice Biennale, and is the second time in the Exhibition of Architecture.
