Kosovo will soon have its National Judo Center

Kosovo will have it National Judo Center. This is made possible by the memorandum of cooperation signed today by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Vlora Dumoshi and the President of the Judo Federation of Kosovo, Agron Kuka.

The purpose of the memorandum is to co-finance the implementation of the project "Construction of the National Judo Center in Peja", which will be realized during this and next year, with a total amount of 460 thousand euros, of which the MCYS allocated over 300 thousand euros, while KJF will allocate 160 thousand euros for the project.

On this occasion, the Minister in the meeting with President Kuka and the selector of Kosovo in judo, Driton Kuka, said that she feels delighted that such an important project for the judokas of Kosovo is coming to life.

"By signing this memorandum, today we have started the implementation of a large and important project, not only for judokas and sport itslef but also for our country in general, because in addition to the practical role that the National Judo Center will have in Peja, it will also be an image in the international arena for Kosovo as the sport of judo has greatly influenced the affirmation of our country. This center will be a hotbed for athletes who will come in the future and will become a destination for foreign visitors who are interested in the success and history of judo in our country ", said among others Minister Dumoshi.

Meanwhile, for his part, President Agron Kuka thanked Minister Dumoshi for the support and participation of MCYS in this vital project for judo in Kosovo. He said that with the construction of this facility, athletes will be even more encouraged for success and further results so as to bring new medals to Kosovo in judo, and will be focused on bringing out new talents in judo.
