Minister Dumoshi, part of the youth summit from the Balkan countries, with 154 young people


The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Mrs. Vlora Dumoshi was part of the first virtual youth summit from Kosovo, Albania, Croatia, Montenegro and Presheva, which was organized by LDA Balkan in cooperation with the Balkan Network for Citizenship Education, which brought together the Balkan states in one formation and that was held last night.

Minister Dumoshi presented the youth program and her and MCYS priorities for the youth of the Republic of Kosovo. The focus of the MCYS during its governing mandate will be to engage and exploit youth potential to advance important issues.

The overall theme of the summit was "Balkan Youth during the COVID-19 Pandemic". Part of the virtual summit were also representatives from countries in the region, among them:
- Genci Nimanbegu, Vice President of the Montenegrin Parliament ME;
- Ermina Lekaj Prljaskaj, Member of the Croatian Parliament HR;
- Ziadin Sela, Alliance for Albanians, Northern Macedonia;
- Shqiprim Arifi, Mayor of Presevo RS;
- Irsa Ruçi, Director of the General National Youth Service in the Republic of Albania AL;

Minister Dumoshi expressed her satisfaction that they had the opportunity to discuss the needs and priorities of the youth in this period of pandemics. She added that only by making young people an integral part of institutional processes, development can take shape in the countries of the south-western Balkans.
