From now on, Nexhmije Pagarusha will have the status of special merits

After the proposal of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, the Government of Ko-sovo has made a decision since today Nexhmije Pagarusha will have the status of citizen with special merits due to her contribution to the promotion of authentic Albanian music.

At today's meeting of the Government, Minister Gashi proposed that the Albanian song nightingale, Nexhmije Pagarusha, should be recognized the citizen's status with special merits for her contribution to the promotion of authentic Albanian music, including its financial support such as defined in the draft deci-sion in the amount of 500 Euros per month.

In his speech, Minister Gashi said: "Nexhmije Pagarusha as known in the Albanian nightingale, with her appearances in many countries of the world made her career to be sensational, thus representing Kosovo and conveying the values and traditions of our country. She performed at well-known international festivals and scenes, also performing works translated in Albanian, such as those of Bethoven, etc".

Also, Minister Gashi also talked about "Baresha", pointing out that "Nexhmije Pagarusha in her musical work is thought to have interpreted over 150 songs, most of which devoted him to the country and love, starting with Master-piece 'Baresha' her featured the values of Art and Culture, even at the time when Albanian music was heard and cultivated very little".

Also, he spoke about her prizes at well-known local and international scenes. "Nexhmije Pagarusha enjoys respect today by numerous local and international personalities, Good deeds have no price, but artists deserve support."
