Gashi: Sporting hall will be completed this year, municipality of Rahovec receives about 2 million Euros from MCYS

Today, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, visited the Municipality of Rahovec where he was welcomed by the Mayor of this municipality, Smajl Latifi.

During this visit, four memorandums of cooperation were signed between MCYS and the Municipality. These memoran-dums were signed for the purpose of financial support in the realization of the projects: "Construction of the Sports Hall in the Municipality of Rahovec", "Construction of the Stadium in Ratkoc", "Construc-tion of the Sports Center in Krusha e Madhe - Municipality of Rahovec" Construction of the City Stadi-um in the Municipality of Rahovec ".

According to the memorandum signed for the financial support of the project "Construction of the Sports Hall in the Municipality of Rahovec", the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports invests financial assets worth 600 thousand Euros, with 300,000 Euros of this investment being made during the year 2018 while another 300 thousand during 2019.

For the project "Construction of the City Stadium in the Municipality of Rahovec", MCYS allocated financial assets worth 500 thousand Euros. This investment will also be made during 2018/19, where 200 thou-sand euros will be made during 2018 and 300 thousand during 2019.

The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports will also allocate 250 thousand Euros for the realization of the project "Building the Stadium in Ratkoc". 100 thousand euros of this investment will be made during 2018, while 150 thou-sand in 2019.

Meanwhile, for the realization of the project "Construction of the Sports Hall in Krusha e Madhe", according to the memorandum signed, MCYS allocates funds in the amount of 400 thousand Euros, which will be realized during 2018/19. Financial assets worth 100 thousand Euros will be allocated during 2018 and 300 thousand during 2019.

On this occasion, Minister Kujtim Gashi and Mayor Smajl Latifi expressed their satisfaction with the signing of these memoran-da.

Minister Gashi said that it was a special pleasure to visit the Municipality of Rahovec and to meet the Mayor Latifi. He particularly expressed the pleasure of signing four memoranda, saying that "these memoranda are related to four capital projects in the field of sport within our commit-ments and our commitment to building sports infrastructure in the Republic of Kosovo".

He also announced that the Ministry will be in full support of the Municipality of Rahovec for other pro-jects in the field of culture and youth. "Of course, we will always bear in mind to support projects that have a great importance in Rahovec, as well as in the youth, culture and heritage".

Minister Gashi informed that with the Mayor Latifi are agreed also for the realization of the projects from the field of inheritance. "We agree to take action for the Museum or Ukshin Hot House to provide staff there, at the same time, to turn this facility into a tourist destination for many visitors due to a large number that it maintains as it was the activity Ukshin Hoti. We also agreed that the house where many citizens of Krusha and the surrounding villages were massacred is taken under the supervision, at the same time to restore and have an object of our collective memory", said Minister Gashi.

Meanwhile, the Mayor of the Municipality, Smajl Latifi said: "We had the pleasure of receiving Minister Kujtim Gashi and Deputy Minister Burbuqe Bakija-Deva and his associates with whom we had the opportunity to talk about some vital projects for the sport of the municipality of Rahovec ".

He thanked the Minister for his visit and also for the signing of agreements for the realization of projects that are in the interest of the municipality. He also thanked the Minister es-pecially for his dedication to the successful completion of works at the Rahovec sports gym. "We agreed to give full support to the end of the year to conclude the third and final stage of the hall of sports in Rahovec", he concluded.
