Minister Gashi: We are committed to increas-ing the percentage of participation in sports activities

Today, in the Skanderbeg Square, within the European Sports Week, the Kosovo Olympic Committee has opened the Sports Fair, the purpose of which is for municipal sports clubs to present their offers to elementary school children who then decide about the sport that is more attractive and more enticing to do.

The event also attended the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, who expressed the satisfaction for this organization of the Olympic Committee.

He also emphasized the fact that "the organization of the European Week of Sport, the cooperation of the Ministry with the Kosovo Olympic Committee, with different sports federations, at the same time with different clubs, has done and is the best evidence that a good cooperation massively enhances the sport in Kosovo, also because of the statistics, a very low number of young people participate in the sport. This makes us all united and coordinated to have our strategic documents change and clear ob-jective to increase participation in sports activities".

Minister Gashi finally said: "I, as a minis-ter and all the federations and the Olympic Committee, will be strongly committed to work in 2019 for the citizens to be part of the sport activities, to increase the percentage of participation in sports activi-ties".
