The Ministry of Sports will invest in the construction of swimming pools for swimmers

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, met today with the leaders of the Kosovo Federation of Swimming, led by the Chairman of this Federation, Imer Rama.

At the meeting was discussed about the physical infrastructure for swimming sports and its completion in various centers of Kosovo. Specifically, the start of investments expected to be implemented next year was discussed. In this regard, Minister Gashi pledged to embark on the construction of some semi-Olympic pools for 2019.

Mayor Rama also briefed on the activities organized by the Federation of Swimming as well as the successes achieved by the swimmers. He welcomed the Minister's commitment to in-vestments that MCYS plans to implement. Rama considered that through these projects the interest in swimming sports will increase.

On his part, Minister Gashi thanked IFAC leaders for the in-formation and needs showed. The Minister said that he will do his utmost to ensure that Kosovar swimmers have the necessary space to carry out their activities and competitions.

Also, the minister said that with the investments that will make MCYS next year will also be affected in the education of citizens for swimming and to reduce the cases when as a result of non-acquisition and proper education for swimming also lose their lives.
