Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, visited the Olympic Committee of Koso-vo.

During this visit, Minister Gashi met with Kosovo Olympic Committee president Besim Hasani, with whom he discussed enhancing cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Kosovo Olympic Committee.

Minister Gashi has discussed the needs and requirements of the Kosovo Olympic Committee. He pledged continued support for the Olympic Committee as the country's highest sports institution and promised increased mutual co-operation in identifying the problems faced by Kosovo's sport.

"The visit aims to increase mutual co-operation between the ministry and the Olympic Committee. We discussed many topics about the space where the Olympic Committee activities are conducted and the need for more and more space. We will agree to look at the opportunities in 2019 as we are in the drafting phase of the 2019 budget. Also agreed that the regulations for categorization meet new needs and demands so that all sports benefit from this law "Said Minister Gashi.

In addition, this meeting discussed the interna-tionalization of sports where Minister Gashi emphasized: "We agreed to invite all sports federations to hold their own assemblies. Membership of our sports in international mechanisms requires harmoni-zation with international documents in order to have a full harmonization of sports documentation. "

Minister Gashi also mentioned the licensing of the stadium "Fadil Vokrri" by UEFA, consid-ering it as important news for Kosovo sports.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Olympic Committee Besim Hasani initially said: "I thank Minister Gashi, who is constantly showing commitment to sport. However, in addition to the source of funding from the ministry, we need to be more active and find sponsors from the business and we hope that the law on sponsorship will be implemented after passing through some procedures. "

He also added that "internationalization of sports has opened up great tasks before us. Needs are twice as big and there is a need for expansion of space. We hope that in the future we will be able to find a solution to this".
