Gold Medalist, Majlinda Kelmendi, from today with a salary similar to the Minister of Sport

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, today signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Judoka Majlinda Kelmendi, for financial support of the athlete in the amount of 12 thousand Euros.

The aim of the financial support of Judoka Majlinda Kelmendi is to accomplish the objectives and goals for 2018, based on the program's sports policies for the advancement of quality sport and the development of sports activists of international character in and outside the country.

Minister Gashi said that this financial support for athletes who achieved top results, such as the event of Olympic medalist Majlinda Kelmendi, is a kind of gratitude from the state and an incentive for the representation of our state in the international arena in the field of sport which also helps to raise the image of our country around the world.

The Judoka Majlinda Kelmendi thanked Minister Gashi for the continued support that MCYS is providing not only for her but also for other Kosovar judokas. Kelmendi promised that Kosova will bring other medals and with her work the name of our state will be affirmed even more.
