Minister Gashi in the US receives support from the top executives of the YMCA

In the framework of the visit he is carrying out in the United States, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Kujtim Gashi has held meetings with YMCA officials and leaders in New York.

During his visit, he was hosted by Rayda Marques, YMCA's international program director and Julie Galanty, executive director for YMCA youth development in New York.

Minister Gashi during this meeting has called for support in the development of youth programs for young people of Kosovo, with special emphasis on building a youth camp in the village of Pjetërshtan of Gjakova. The Minister emphasized the fact that building a multifunctional youth center in the Republic of Kosovo will open up a greater perspective for the youth of the Republic of Kosovo.

In these meetings, the Minister has received strong support in the implementation of this project in the Republic of Kosovo.

"The experiences that the different countries of the world, especially the United States of America have in advancing the position of young people are the best model to be taken as a model for our country", said Minister Gashi among others.

Minister Gashi informed the leaders of YMCA that in Kosovo the need to improve the participation of Kosovo youth in social activities continues to be of particular importance. "The continued need for support for youth is highlighted in various local and international reports", said the Minister, adding that "The establishment of YMCA in the Republic of Kosovo is a new opportunity for our country's young people".
