Hoti: The Albanian community in Switzerland is well organized

The Association of Albanian Teachers and Parents "Naim Frashëri" in Switzerland, in cooperation with the Albanian Cultural Center in Zurich have organized a celebration of the 10th Anniversary of Independence of Kosovo, the 550th anniversary of the death of Gjergj Kastriot -Skanderbeg on 7 and 8 March as and 11 March - 81st Spring, attended by numerous personalities, among them the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, Islam Spahiu, Consul of the Republic of Kosovo in Zurich, Historian Frashër Demaj, teachers who are engaged in the Albanian education of younger generations in Switzerland.

All the representatives of the cantons of Switzerland attended the event, where the students from the Albanian schools also held a program with different artistic presentations and they were given gratitudes for the retired teachers who contributed to the Albanian language and culture in the Helvetic regions.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, spoke in a manifestation on behalf of the Kosovo Government and MCYS, greeting them for the organization. Deputy Hoti described the event as very important and said that this is a fact that Albanians in Switzerland are among the most organized communities. Such events keep alive the Albanian language culture in Switzerland, said Hoti. Among other things, he expressed the readiness of the Government of Kosovo to support the Kosovo Albanian community in Switzerland in all aspects.

Hoti held a meeting with Spahiu and the president of ADAP, Nexhat Maloku. They discussed the possibilities of concrete cooperation and concluded that diaspora is an integral part of the culture, youth and sport in the activities that take place in Kosovo.
