Prishtina hosts the Balkan Youth Championship in table tennis

Today, at the Palace of Sport in Prishtina, has been officially opened the Balkan Championship in table tennis for Youth (BYTTC 2015), which will last until Sunday, where participators will be five competing countries in the region such as Turkey, Albania, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Kosovo and the competitions will take place in the disciplines of teams, individual, doubles (men, women and mixed).

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, namely the Ministry of Sports, the official opening was done by Deputy Minister Rexhep Hoti. He welcomed the athletes coming from regional countries and wished them success in this league.

He considered this event of great importance, proving that our country knows how to organize such events.

He emphasized that MCYS has consistently increased the support for the sport, although there are some future challenges, as improving the infrastructure and developing sport.

Words of greeting at the official opening, had also the president of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Hasani and the president of the Table Tennis Federation of Kosovo, Nehat Çitaku.
