MCYS is developing policies to strengthen cultural institutions

Today, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Kujtim Shala, met with Representative of “Culture for All”, Lila Skarveli. They discussed about cultural promotion of Kosovo outside the country and cultural promotion in European countries.

Minister Shala thanked Ms. Skarveli for her contribution provided to the culture in general, especially, in the field of ballet, offering her professional experience in order to demonstrate the most successful presentation possible of cultural organisations and Kosovar artists in international cultural events.

Furthermore, the Minister informed Ms. Skarveli that MCYS is putting efforts into developing policies that would strengthen cultural institutions and to achieve this, there is a lot of work to be done and there is a need for external expertise. He said also that MCYS is ready to cooperate with professionals of the cultural field aiming to advance it inside the country and for the most qualified international representation possible.

In her turn, Ms. Lila Skarveli, said that she feels satisfied that she had the opportunity to help artists and cultural organisations and presented her readiness to further cooperate. She informed the Minister for the work she has done up to date, highlighting that the focus was to present artists and their creative cultural ideas in the international scene so that the culture of Kosovo is better recognised abroad.
