Minister Shala: Admission of Basketball Federation in FIBA, news that makes not only basketball players happy
Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Kujtim Shala, in the occasion of admission of Kosovo Basketball Federation into International Basketball Federation (FIBA) congratulates KBF leaders, Kosovar basketball players and all sports community on this important news not only for Kosovo basketball but for the sport in general.
Minister considers that following the admission of Kosovo Olympic Committee into International Olympic Committee, the admission of KBF in FIBA marks the most significant admission that occurred in the process of internationalization of sports of our country.
Minister Shala congratulates basketball players and KBF for this extraordinary step, wishing them progress in their work in the future and a greater success in competitions that will be developed, also thanked all those who have contributed for achievement of this goal.
Minister Shala has been constantly in touch with the president of KBF, Erolld Belegu, and offered full support towards internationalization of basketball, considering the fact that basketball is one of the collective sports and the greatest in our country which has a long tradition where generations of famous names have come out of this sport and acceptance of KBF opened doors to this federation for participation in international competition events.
Admission of KBF in International Basketball Federation in addition to being a good and happy news for our country in general, it also is an additional motivation for us as MCYS and for sports institutions for working with more responsibility into enhancement of standard and quality. MCYS remains dedicated to work so that basketball and other sports develop in every aspect and be as example that our country is represented in the best way possible in international sports organizations and events.
