Shala: Investment will take place for improvement of the infrastructure

Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Shala and the Mayor of Drenas Municipality, Nexhat Demaku visited today “Feronikeli” football club and saw closely the works being conducted in “Rexhep Rexhepi” stadium.

Minister Shala said that MCYS is going to first of all fulfill the obligations which remained from year 2014, whereas following the budget review in 2015, possibilities will be sought to increase further support.

He emphasized that investment in infrastructure will take place. "I understand very well the importance of infrastructure, because I was a football player myself once". We as ministry have our dedication to help Kosovo football by all possible means", minister Shala said.

Minister Shala also visited the auxiliary stadium which is being constructed by donations from European Union, which is believed that will be finished by the end of the spring of this year and will be ready for use by “Ferronikeli” club, and it will be a great support for training of football players.

Whereas the Mayor of Drenas Municipality, Nexhat Demaku, thanked the minister for his visit and informed him of the efforts of the municipality to ensure to “Feronikeli” football club the best possible conditions, including improvement of infrastructure.

Whereas Ekrem Elshani, the president of the club, informed the minister about the work and engagements of the club, successes, but also about the difficulties that the club which is the champion of the autumn season in Raiffeisen Super League is facing now, in addition to financial difficulties they also lack the stadium which is being renovated, for which the MCYS and the Municipality allocated in this stage an amount of money, but for completing the works, more investment is needed.
