Minister Krasniqi met Tony O’Brien, director for Western Balkans in British Council

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Memli Krasniqi met the Director of British Council for Western Balkans, Mr. Tony O’Brien and the director of British Council for Kosovo, Arjeta Emra. In this meeting it was talked about cooperation between MCYS and the British Council into promoting the culture and the country in general.

Minister Krasniqi estimated that British Council is one of the key supporters of Kosovo which has played and continues to play a very important role in promotion of our culture and of the country in general.

He said that till now, in cooperation with the British Council, quite important projects have been completed, thus having a great impact in promotion of our country.

“I would like to thank the British Council in Kosovo, in particular for the support it provided to MCYS in organisation of the 13th Session of European Culture Parliament in Prishtina, which was one of the most important events of culture in the country”, minister Krasniqi said, further adding that MCYS remains seriously dedicated to continue the cooperation with the British Council in new important initiatives.

On his part, director Tony O’Brien thanked the minister for his welcoming and congratulated him for his dedicated engagement in support of cultural scene of Kosovo, in its development and in promotion of most important events of culture in the world. He stressed that British Council will continue to support Kosovo further on in many spheres, and in particular emphasising culture.
