Around 200 youngsters trained for business management

Around 200 youngsters got certificates today in the field of business plan drafting from the Entrepreneurship Project supported by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The project supported by MCYS and implemented by the organisations Institute for Management and Development – IMD and Institute for Training and Economic Development – ITED aimed at providing the vocational training for the youth of eight regions of Kosovo, Prishtina, Ferizaj, Prizren, Gjakova, Peja, Mitrovica, Gjilan and Ranillug. MCYS in addition to it is going to donate grants in order to promote entrepreneurship development amongst youth and to generate new jobs too.

Minister Memli Krasniqi expressed his satisfaction that 200 more young people joined the large group of certified who got trained through earlier projects organised and carried out by MCYS. He congratulated the youth for the training they received and qualified it as education of new generations and he also considered that for four years now the concept of acting and working for youth has changed.

“As you are now certified, I invite you right after closing this meeting to sit and prepare the business plans and apply with them in the competition of MCYS for the new entrepreneurs, which will remain open until 5 December”, the minister said, by urging the certified trainees not to keep such certification only for enrichment of their CV-s but to use such knowledge they have gained in practice.

Minister also mentioned the investments and grants which have been allocated to the youth for businesses they have, building the youth centres in various cities of Kosovo, and cooperation and support of the partners for youth.

“There are around 300 young people who have already benefited from grants that MCYS and its partners have allocated to young entrepreneurs. There are also over 300 youngsters who were given the opportunity to complete apprenticeship work in various institutions, organisations and companies”, he said.

The minister also pointed out that employment will be the main aspect of engagement and work of the Government of Kosovo in the coming mandate, where he pointed out that MCYS will have the funds increased for supporting youth business ideas and their vocational education.

Whereas, Ermira Kastrati and Agron Gashi, two of the certified in this project expressed their pleasure as they were selected for this training, because they consider it as an investment not only for themselves, but also for the future of the country.

More than 1500 young people in the four last years benefited in various concrete forms from MCYS and its partners and more than 800 youngsters were trained in various professional fields.
