Deputy-minister Mr. Abazi met with a group of Canadian students

Deputy-minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajdin Abazi, welcomed a group of Canadian students in a meeting, guided by Faton Bislimi, a former student of Harvard University and a university professor.

Deputy-minister Abazi informed student about MCYS, its setting and mission as a ministry, emphasizing than in recent years it continuously marked achievements and successes in culture and sports, resulting from its work and institutional engagement.

Furthermore, Mr. Abazi stated that although Kosovo is a new state, it possesses a rich cultural heritage which it shares with other communities that live in our country.

“Our attempt as a country is to create a culture which is based on cultural values of the communities which live in Kosovo, where common points are found, culture in which people cooperate with one another”, said Mr. Abazi.

Deputy-minister also informed students about the plans and projects that MCYS has in the future, the challenges it faces with, budget which keeps increasing each year, institutional cooperation for cultural projects, sports, subsidizing youth organizations on priority basis.

Whereas, students, in their turn, thanked deputy-minister Abazi for his hosting and information about MCYS and culture and sports of Kosovo in general. They expressed that they feel privileged for the opportunity offered to them to acquire a boarder knowledge about the culture and heritage of our country.
