Promotion of the Baseball sport in Kosovo

Deputy Minister Gjergj Dedaj welcomed in a meeting Michael Johnstone, Director of Europe for the Youth Global Baseball Federation. They discussed about the possibilities of promoting the popular sport in the USA, Baseball also in Kosovo.

Deputy Minister Dedaj informed Director Johnstone for the developments, challenges and achievements in the field of sport in our country, highlighting that Kosovo is a country which has young population, has the necessary capacities and possess talents and willing for playing different sports, including also the interest for popular American sports and their promotion in our country.

Whereas, in his turn, Mr. Johnstone expressed his pleasure that Kosovo has the resources and opportunities for the development of sport, thus promoting itself even internationally. He showed his interest for the opportunity to organize a Baseball Camp in Dol of Gjakova. Organization of this event was specified that it will be a further affirmation of Kosovo in the international arena, because sport is the best ambassador to do such a thing. This cooperation shall also be a further expansion of relationships between Kosovo and the USA.
