Following the request of MCYS and its approval by the Municipal Assembly of Obiliq, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Football Federation of Kosovo have signed a memorandum of cooperation to transfer the two parcels to the Municipality of Obiliq, in a total area of 102,817 m2. The use of these parcels will be given to FFK in order to invest in a stadium to be built in this space, where the latter will invest three million Euros.

Within the framework of this capital project, in the field of physical sports infrastructure will be built the main stadium, tribunes, center building and auxiliary fields. Based on this memorandum, which aims to develop and promote sports, increase the capacities and investments in the sports infrastructure, it is foreseen that after the completion of the project workers from the Municipality of Obiliq will be hired.

FFK will maintain and manage the entire complex and will coordinate sports activities and manifestations and without compensation will allow them to be carried out in this complex.

On this occasion, Minister Kujtim Gashi said that the memorandum that will be signed with FFK will both invest in three auxiliary fields in Obiliq. The Minister explained that the financial means to be used for the implementation of this project are from the UEFA budget, and the investment process will be completed by FFK, while the Ministry of Sport has provided these parcels from the Municipality of Obiliq.

Minister Gashi said that "this project is one of the most important projects in sports infrastructure, within which all investments will be cooperation of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Football Federation of Kosovo. It is a new model of cooperation for 2018-2019. These will be years of special focus on sports infrastructure, since our sporting membership in FIFA and UEFA requires new investments in the sports field".

Among other things, he stressed: "We are creating new opportunities in sports infrastructure in order to meet the conditions of our clubs. Sports infrastructure is not in a good state. Many clubs have no place to carry out their preparations. This is a purposeful project and the merit of FFK that have managed to secure financial means from UEFA".

"This is an important event that today we signed the memorandum to built the national training complex. This is the main seat of a federation in order to be stable in their new categories", said Ademi.

"We will also have new projects that will be funded by the Ministry of Sport such as the National Stadium, Prizren Stadium, Gjilan and all cities. MCYS has invested in those stadiums for the second category to be met so our teams can play matches in their stadiums and with these projects FFK will be more prepared in the regions thanks to the Government and the Ministry of Sports, said Ademi.
