Minister Kujtim Gashi attending the Mediter-ranean Tarragona Games 2018

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, is in an official visit in Tarragona, Spain, where Ko-sovo Olympic team is participating for the first time at the 2018 Mediterranean Games Tarragona.

Minister Gashi met with leaders of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, led by President Besim Hasani, as well as Judge of Judo Federation of Kosovo, Agron Kuka, who wished for further suc-cess in the Mediterranean Tarragona Games 2018.

Minister Gashi is supporting the athletes while on Thursday will be watching closely the fight of our judo fighters, Akil Gjakova and Laura Fazliu, who are seeking to follow Nora Gjakova and Distria Krasniqi. Nora Gjakova and Distria Krasniqi won gold medals on Wednesday, the first for Kosovo from Mediterranean Tarragona Games 2018.

The Minister will also be present in the competitons of other athletes, who are also promoting the state of Kosovo, in a country that does not recognize the independence of our country. Otherwise, Minister Gashi, is the first minister to have officially traveled to Spain to stay in the Medi-terranean competition that is taking place there. Kosovo is participating in Tarragona 2018 with 40 ath-letes, 13 coaches and four judges.
