MCYS invests 242 thousand Euros for two sport projects in Shtime

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, visited the Municipality of Shtime, in order to observe closely the needs of this municipality in the fields of culture, youth and sport. The Minister was hosted by the Mayor, Naim Ismajli, with whom the Minister discussed the plans and projects that the municipality has in the areas covered by the MCYS.

During the visit, two memorandums of cooperation between the MCYS and the Municipality of Shtime were signed in the meeting. The purpose of these memorandums is the financial support in the amount of € 145,000 for the project "Completion of works at the Sports Hall in Shtime" and the financial support in the amount of € 97,000 for the project "Completion of the works at the Shtime City Stadium, of synthetic turf - for the Vjosa football club ". Investments for the project for completion of works at the Shtime Sports Hall in Shtime are expected to take place in 2018 while for the City Stadium project for the Vjosa football club are expected to take place during 2018-2019.

Minister Gashi, on this occasion said that MCYS will continue to support the implementation of projects aimed at improving the infrastructure in sport, namely by signing two memoranda, in Shtime will be created and improved the conditions for athletes, young people and citizens of Shtime.

"The Ministry remains committed to assisting municipalities in concretizing capital projects in completing physical sports infrastructure. The memoranda we signed today with Mayor Ismajli are in this line. Ministry's investment in sport remains our priority", said Minister Gashi among others.

Meanwhile, the Mayor Ismajli thanked Minister Gashi for the support and readiness to invest in improving the sports infrastructure in Shtime.

"The character of the meeting was the signing of these two memoranda, but we also discussed the future projects in our municipality and on behalf of the municipality of Shtime, I thank Minister Gashi for the readiness to complete these projects as soon as possible very much of interest to the citizens and at the same time I thank for the commitment that has consistently supported our municipality",said Ismajli.
