Deputy Minister Rexhep Hoti met today with German writer Rüdiger Schaper, the author who wrote a biography about Aleksander Moisiu, the world's most famous actor of Albanian origin.

Schaper's book "Aleksandër Moisiu. Trieste - Berlin - New York. An Acting Legend " was translated into Albanian by Feride Berisha, in collaboration between the Publishing House PA and the Multimedia Center, supported by the Traduki network. Today part of this publication will be read at the National Theater of Kosovo in Albanian and German where a participant will also be the author of the book, Schaper, who is on a visit to Kosovo.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Hoti welcomed and expressed the willingness of MCYS to support the German author in other collaborations.

Among the issues that were discussed at this meeting, there is a project that is expected to be reviewed by MCYS if it can be realized. This project envisages the publication of a new work for Aleksander Moisiu, which will include 51 correspondence between the actor and his girlfriend Sonja Wiber at the end of his life, around 1934-35. "This correspondence is unpublished and it will be in the interest of the Albanian readers to have it in their hands", said Hoti.

Also, the publication intends to include a study by the author Schaper about Moisiu, unpublished photographs and an artistic piece at the end of the publication which could even be inscribed. Within the project, an exhibition with photographs of Moisiu will be take place in Prishtina.

"We as ministry are ready to take the necessary steps to support an activity that would bring to the Albanian reader the exclusive stuff of great actor Aleksander Moisiu and if the Institutions of the Republic of Kosovo do this then it would be extraordinary" said among other things Deputy Minister Hoti.

Meanwhile, the German author Schaper said that he was pleased to be in Kosovo, amongst people of Aleksander Moisiu, and thanked Deputy Minister Hoti for the reception and readiness for further cooperation in concretizing planned projects.
