MCYS invests 1.2 million Euros in 12 auxiliary football fields

Within the capital investments in the physical sports infrastructure in Kosovo, 12 auxiliary fields will be constructed for the clubs of the Kosovo football elite league “Superliga”. These investments will be realized in the cities of Prishtina, Prizren, Peja, Mitrovica, Gjilan, Podujeva, Skenderaj, Drenas, Gjakova and Vitia.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, along with the President of the Football Federation of Kosovo, Fadil Vokrri, met with the heads of municipalities, whose clubs carry out their competitions in the Kosovo Football league Superliga. In this project MCYS will invest 1.2 million Euros, 100 thousand Euros for each auxiliary field. This total capital investment will have the value of three million Euros, where FFK will invest 120 thousand Euros for each auxiliary field, while the respective municipalities will invest 30,000 Euros in these fields. An auxiliary field will have a financial value of 250 thousand Euros.

A three-part cooperation memorandum for the projects in question will be signed between MCYS-FFK-Municipalities, and this is expected to take place in the coming days, where the details of the project will also be known.

Minister Gashi highly appreciated this co-investment as it will create new spaces for carrying out exercises and preparation of the football players and will preserve the pitches of the stadiums.
