MINISTER GASHI COMMITTED TO SOLVING THE STATUS OF THE THEATER THROUGHOUT THE MUNICIPALITIES OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOSOVO

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Kujtim Gashi hosted the representatives of the theater union of the Gjilan headed by Mr. Naser Zymberi.

Minister Gashi during this meeting was closely informed about the problems and challenges faced by the theater actors of the city of Gjilan, with particular emphasis on the wages of the actors.

Naser Zymberi, chairman of the theater union of Gjilan, informed the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports about the delays in executing salaries requesting that the Ministry engage in solving the legal status of the actors of the city of Gjilan.

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi during this meeting expressed his readiness and his political will to engage strongly in addressing this problematic issue for the actors of the theaters not only of the Municipality of Gjilan but also of other municipalities in the Republic of Kosovo, pointing out the fact that soon MCYS through responsible institutions, will begin work on creating a working group to address all the challenges and problems faced by city theaters in their operation for fulfilling the goal of creative and artistic freedom in the activities of the city theaters.

Also, the MCYS will be committed to providing sustainable solutions for the operation of theaters throughout the territory of the Republic of Kosovo in coordination with the respective municipalities.
