Fadil Hysaj, laureate of the Prize on Life’s work for Theater for 2016

In the office of the Minister Kujtim Gashi was held the solemn ceremony organized by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for awarding the Annual Theater Prizes for 2016.

In this ceremony, director Fadil Hysaj was awarded the National Prize on Life’s Work, which according to the regulation on awarding theater prizes is rewarded with a financial value of five thousand Euros. The prize was awarded to him due to the director’s enormous contribution for the cultivation of theater life in the country.

Minister Gashi handed out the awards for other laureates too. The annual prize for the best display for 2016 was awarded to "Eshtrat që vijnë vonë", with the script of Teki Dervishi under the direction of Martin Kochovski. Likewise, there was also awarded the annual prize for best direction to the director Sevdije Ajeti for the display "Sapotlem" by Juan Jose Arreola. The prize for the best actor/actress in 2016 was awarded to the dancer Sinan Kajtazi for the leading role Albert in the ballet show "Zhizell". The annual prize for the most successful international presentation was awarded to the Multimedia Center. Other annual prizes, based on the regulation are rewarded with 2500 Euros each.

Minister Gashi expressed his satisfaction that the Ministry is completing the prize awarding process. He also stressed the continued support of MCYS for the rewards and appreciation of the genuine cultural values of our country.

"We as Ministry have found it reasonable to conclude this award ceremony as we have considered it very important", said the minister.

While, the laureate Fadil Hysaj after receiving the prize said that he dedicates this award to the personalities and the collaborators emphasizing three generations of actors.

"Having passed 45 years in the theater is a very powerful experience and it is a life between characters that arise from imagination and seek their living status at all costs", said Hysaj, thanking the ministry and jury for the recognition and the prize.

The jury appointed for the awarding of these prizes was composed by the director Agim Selimi, Ramadan Musliu- literary critics, Besim Rexhaj - playwright, Bislim Muçaj-actor and Bardh Frangu- writer and publicist.
