The Kosovo Museum for the first time will have its own permanent exhibition. Its concept has been presented to the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Kujtim Gashi, by the working group chaired by Professor Gazmend Rizaj.

Professor Rizaj informed Minister Gashi about the purpose and content of the permanent exhibition that will take place in the Kosovo’s Museum, and according to the plan it will open on the occasion of marking the jubilee of Independence of Kosovo.

The exhibition, according to the foreseen concept, will have a chronological extension from Neolithic time to Kosovo's Declaration of Independence in 2008, where will be exhibited Kosovo's movable heritage exhibits that reflect the cultural and historical identity of our country.

The exhibition will contain tangible and intangible authentic exhibits as well as gift exhibits given to the Museum. It will be divided into the pavilions of archeology, history of international exhibits and the ethnology room.

Rizaj said that the working group that has been engaged in the preparation of this exhibition awaits the support and cooperation of the Minister Gashi to be able to finalize the project.

Minister Gashi expressed his gratitude for the serious work done in this important project not only for the cultural heritage but also for the state of Kosovo because the exhibition can be freely counted as a cultural and historical identity card of our country.

"The permanent exhibition to be presented at the Kosovo Museum, will provide a reflection of the rich heritage of Kosovo, which proves the antiquity we have as a people", said Minister Gashi.

Minister Kujtim Gashi said that this project will be among the priorities that the ministry will support, in order to eliminate the eventual barriers that hinder or slow down the concretization of the exhibition.
