Minister Shala hosted the reelected President of KOC, Besim Hasani

Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Kujtim Shala, hosted the reelected President of Kosovo Olympic Committee, Besim Hasani, with whom he discussed on the plans and cooperation between MCYS and KOC in order to enhance sport in general.

Minister Shala congratulated Hasani for reelection in heading of KOC for another four year mandate. He stated that MCYS will support Kosovo Olympic Committee in the future, aiming for the support to be increased year by year, but also ensuring the President Hasani that KOC will have full functional independence.

Meanwhile President of KOC, Besim Hasani expressed his gratitude to Minister Shala for the congratulation and the readiness to further support the Olympic Committee. He informed the Minister on the progress of KOC election, where apart from the President, there were nine members of KOC Executive Board elected as well as its four Deputy Presidents. Hasani also informed the Minister about the plans and preparations for the next Olympic cycle 2017 – 2020, aiming to be represented with more success and quality.

Both agreed that sport should be among priorities of the Government of Kosovo, focusing on capital investments in infrastructure, massive spread of sport, increase of quality and identifying new talents.
